We are a non-profit social club run by its members. Membership costs from only £14 per year - less than 30p per week!

We are for individuals and couples who want to socialise and participate in activities with like-minded people, and above all enjoy life.

Indoor and outdoor events take place almost every day throughout Essex, so wherever you live - be it Basildon, Braintree, Brentwood, Billericay, Chelmsford or elsewhere - there are certain to be events near you.

We are a member of the national Association of IVC clubs. We currently have a membership of around 150 - males and females, individuals and couples, and we welcome new members.

We asked our members for their views on the club. This is what they said:

• A good all round social club for couples and singles with a variety of events. The outdoor pursuits part of the club I find particularly interesting.
• Although I don't go to a huge number of events, it's always there when I want it.
• Can attend as few or as many events as you wish.
• Diversity of events - something for everyone.
• Everyone is very friendly and you can pick and choose which event you attend.
• Friendly people, always feel welcome at events.
• Great to meet people and go out.
• Lots of games-type events, walks, dance events and one-offs - good variety of things I like to do.

• Not having gone to University, I wasn't sure about joining because of the name of the club. However I find the people are fine.
