Essex IVC and the AIVC
Essex IVC is one of the largest of around 40 clubs in the National Association of IVC's. The Association provides a framework which the individual clubs must conform to, but each club is otherwise independent to recruit members and run its own affairs. Many clubs have arrangements for members from other IVC's to participate in their activities when in their area.
In addition, some IVC clubs and the Association itself organise events, weekend breaks, holidays and walking/activity breaks and invite members from all the clubs to join them. In the last few years, Essex IVC members have acted as hosts for a 70's & 80's music themed weekend at Butlins in Bognor Regis, and our members have participated in weekend breaks in many cities including Liverpool, Plymouth and Norwich, plus the Champagne and Bordeaux regions of France, and walking in the Cheddar Gorge.
Such activities are open to all full members of Essex IVC and many are taking the opportunity. Most of these events are listed in our monthly bulletin, but frequent additions mean it is best to also consult the Association's website to see what is available.
Our A.L.O. (Association Liaison Officer) will be pleased to give you further details.
